Gypsum products can liven up any interior, give it a personality. Especially if they are not made at the factory, and independently – on his own sketch. The technology of their creation is not that complicated.
There are two principles to follow while producing gypsum products. The first is the fill. Option time-consuming, requiring the creation of the prototype (wood, plasticine, clay) and forms to fill, but allows you to create beautiful three-dimensional figure. The second method is a carving on plaster. It is more suitable to create decorative flat patterns. Of the tools you will need only a picture-a sketch, an awl and a good knife or scalpel.
As a «model» to create the form under the fill with plaster you can use a ready-made a suitable product (e.g., a statue). It is thoroughly smeared with vaseline or silicone grease and placed on a flat surface (carpeted or otherwise protected), around the, make wooden or steel frame which is also smeared to the future not stuck. Then fill in the frame gypsum mortar the consistency of thick cream given the fact that the model can be removed from the mold after drying.
If the model is to create the form was done independently, it must be solid, dried, and varnished.
When the mortar has hardened, the model get. Future form thoroughly dried, neutralized the defects (e.g., pits from air bubbles) with the same plaster solution varnish from the inside. After drying of the lacquer form is ready for pouring plaster into it to create the final product, but we must not forget to clean and lubricate it before each new fill. Irregular shapes are often assembled from several parts, cast separately.
It is most convenient to fill the form in two stages: first – a thin layer, filling all the small cavity, then the bulk. If the product is large, it will be useful to strengthen it with rebar. Ready figure lends itself perfectly to painting. For final processing, it is desirable to cover with a layer of wax or varnish.
Embossed plate, ornaments, decorative inserts easier to accomplish this by carving on plaster.
To create the sketch of the future pattern will be tight drawing paper (if items are repeated, it will be convenient to fold it several times). On it draw the contours of the future pattern and at some distance from each other do punctures with an awl or needle. On a flat protected surface mount frame of the desired size (about 3 cm in height).
Plaster is poured in two stages. The first layer, filling a form by two-thirds, is prepared in a ratio of 2 parts plaster to 3 parts water. Pour it (without mixing) when it acquires the consistency of sour cream. The second layer is prepared in the same proportion, but stir very carefully. Pour the upper part 10 minutes after the first, rubbing the cured surface with a damp cloth.
After 10-15 minutes, removing interfering Reiki, you can transfer the pattern on the surface of the plaster. The sheet with punctures smooth out the plaster on the workpiece and sprinkle dry pigment (waking up through the holes, it forms a dotted figure). A scalpel or a knife on the plaster is carefully cut, parallel to the figure (indented 2-3mm in the direction of «background»), then the same knife to gently remove layers of background to ornament performed.
