These programs modify the hosts file and put this address to another DNS server in properties Internet Protocol. If you try to access any website you see on the screen the message: «Access to the Internet blocked. To unlock enter your phone number and follow the instructions in the SMS» or something similar, run the full computer scan by your antivirus software.

Open the folder C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc and right mouse button (RMB) on the hosts file. In the drop down menu click on «Open» left click and look in the list of programs, Notepad. Main part of the content of the file is comments marked with #. A significant part of Windows XP should look like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost

If, besides her, there are still some entries that are not marked as comments, delete them and save the file.

For Windows 7 and older:

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost

To edit this file, right click on the descriptor in the lower right corner of the screen and left click on the «Command prompt (admin)». In the opened window enter the command C:Windowssystem32driversetchosts

and remove the rows.

Right click on the network icon on the desktop or in the system tray (the lower right corner of the screen). If you have Windows XP, left click on the item «Properties», then click RMB on the icon «local area Connection». Again choose «Properties» and in the new window, click «Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)». Click «Properties» and in the new window select «Obtain DNS server address automatically». Click OK.

For Windows 7 select «control Center network and sharing» then click the link on the right side of the window. It can be named differently: «local area Connection», «Wireless connection» or something else. In the new window, click «Properties» and select «Internet Protocol version 4». Again click «Properties» and select «Obtain DNS server address automatically». Confirm it with OK.

Be careful when downloading files from unfamiliar resources. If downloading music, books or movies you found the executable (extension .exe, .com) or the installer, it is very likely you have downloaded to your computer virus. Don’t try to run it.
