Modern theaters perform shows in formats such as 3D, 4D and 5D. What are the specifics of each of them? What is different from 3D 4D and 5D?

What is 3D?
Under 3D cinematography refers to the playback of the movie in three-dimensional mode — when you enable stereoconfiguration systems. These machines create the illusion of immersion in the atmosphere of the film. Stereocamera operates on the basis of a visual parallax effect, and given the fact that the human eye is arranged on the binocular principle (when the left and right eyes can see different images, which are then combined critical areas of the brain in one).
Modern 3D films are generally created by using two cameras engaged in filming with different settings, or a pair of lenses, capable of spreading the frames on the two films. Subsequently, two different types of frames are reproduced before the eyes of the viewer so that the visual cortex of the brain combines them into a sequence of three-dimensional images. There is also a digital 3D cinema.
View modern 3D movies usually requires the use of special glasses. They are of two basic types — active and passive. The use of specific types of points, in turn, depends on the technology of 3D cinema, which is used by the Studio.

Under the terms of 4D and 5D refers to the same film in 3D, the playback of which is accompanied by different effects, adjusted to a certain scene of the movie. It can be stereo sound in the vicinity of man, drops of water, simulating rain, vibration, rotation or movement of chairs for spectators. Often 4D — and 5D-cinema are considered as a type of attraction.
Thus, 4D and 5D — it is, rather, a marketing term. They do not refer to a certain technology play movies on the screen, which level up 3D movie. Of course, in modern cinemas, positioning themselves as entertainment centers, showing 4D — and 5D-movies are usually installed most modern and high-tech stereoconfiguration system. Therefore the audience who had the experience of watching 3D movies with outdated equipment and visited subsequently, 4D — or 5D-cinema, it may seem that 4D — and 5D-technologies significantly superior to 3D.
But it would be wrong perception of their essence. The next time the person goes to the cinema with even more technologically advanced stereoconfiguration, but without the 4D and 5D effects (i.e. 3D), and likely immediately understand that the picture quality is not fundamentally predetermined, in what format the film is played — 3D, 4D or 5D. It is important how specific technological stereoconfiguration system that displays images on the screen.
In 4D — and 5D-cinemas in the mode of engagement of all effects sometimes only play short films — duration about 10-15 minutes, as many viewers are tired of the effects that accompany the show. 4D and 5D technologies are used not so much in the classical cinema, as in those entertainment centers that are positioning themselves as rides. In this case stereoconfiguration systems are set not in the halls, and in private rooms, can accomodate a small number of people. They can be adapted to the playback of the movie with very powerful effects. For example, can cause feelings similar to those received by a person riding on the carousel.
to contents ↑the Difference between 3D, 4D and 5D
The main difference from 3D, 4D and 5D that the first technology involves the playback of movies, mostly without special effects. But 4D — and 5D-cinema expect them to be present.
It should be noted that specifically for 4D cinema is often understood to be those entertainment venues where films will be played with different effects — more sound, water droplets, air movement, provided the stillness of chairs. Under 5D-cinema, in turn, can be understood cinemas, which have the infrastructure to provide rotation, translation or vibration of the seats.
Also note that in some cases it is difficult to distinguish between the 3D-, 4D — and 5D-cinema. If in one cinema, for example, support of extra noise or odours allow 4D — or 5D-film or another appropriate film can be classified as a film in 3D («3D special effects»). Such variations are caused by relatively small number of effects or too high their prevalence is typical for most 3D cinemas.
Defining the difference between 3D, 4D and 5D, will record the findings in a compact table.

4D and 5D
What is common between them?
4D and 5D cinema is 3D cinema, complemented with various special effects
A clear boundary between modern 3D and 4D — or 5D-cinema with minimal or very common effects sometimes it is difficult to conduct
What is the difference between them?
Involves movie playback in three-dimensional format audio only and a minimal amount of effects
Assume a three-dimensional movie playback, accompanied by a variety of different effects (4D — usually without motion chairs in 5D with their movement)
In its pure form (without 4D — and 5D-effects) is designed for playback of feature films in ordinary cinema
When a large number of effects, typically used to play short films, often — not in cinemas, and in special rooms that can accomodate several people
