The basis of the main soft drink of summer are invariably lemons, sugar syrup and, of course, water, but this base can be supplemented with just any additions: cucumbers, seasonal fruits and berries, fragrant herbs, syrups and spices. We decided not to miss the chance to experiment and tell about the original lemonade preparing in the home.
How to make lemonade at home — recipe
Let’s start from the very base on which you will be able to develop the rest of the drink recipes on their own.
- ice water 630 ml;
- lemon juice, 135 ml;
- sugar – 65 g.
Homemade lemonade starts with simple syrup, for which the sugar is poured 80 ml of water and put on low heat. Sugar syrup is boiled to dissolve the sugar, then cooled slightly and diluted with the remaining water. It remains only to complement the sweetened water with lemon juice and serve with ice.
Lemonade at home — recipe with mint
To make the lemonade much more refreshing will help a simple Supplement in the form of mint leaves. The sweetness in this recipe will provide stevia extract.
- mint – 3 sprigs;
- large lemon;

The basis of aerated lemonade may be as regular soda, for example, and toner, giving the finished drink a slight bitterness.

- orange – 2 pieces;
- sugar – 25 g;
- Basil leaves – 7 PCs.;
- sparkling water of 620 ml.
Half a lime, divide into slices and put in pitcher. Add the pulp of oranges, Basil leaves, and pour all the sugar. Mash the fruit with herbs and sugar together until the flavors won’t mix. Pour a base of citrus with water and leave to infuse in the cold for an hour. Strain the lemonade, pour into glasses and serve with citrus slices and ice cubes.
The lemonade with tarragon at home
- water – 1.8 l;
- lemon juice – 215 ml;
- a handful of greens, tarragon;
- honey – to taste.
RUB the tarragon leaves from the stalk until you feel the smell. Boil half the water and pour boiling water over the fragrant leaves. Cover, leave to infuse until cool liquid, and then strain. Strained infusion of tarragon mixed with lemon juice, remaining water and honey. Serve over ice.
Ginger lemonade at home
Another invigorating and refreshing lemonade component can be a ginger root. Such an additive not only fights well with heat, but also helps to whet the appetite for the upcoming meal outdoors.
- grated ginger – 35g;
- water 1.4 l;
- a sprig of rosemary;
- lemon juice – 115 ml;
- med – 65 ml.
Pour grated ginger, rosemary and honey with boiling water (240 ml). Leave the mixture to cool for 20 minutes, then strain and mix the ginger syrup with the rest of the water. Strain the lemonade and mix it with lemon juice. Serve only after pre-cooling.
